Cumming, GA — August 20, 2025 — The Turner Foundation for Community Advocacy, Inc. proudly announces a landmark moment in its history: a record-breaking six-figure donation from the Jim and Billie Ellis Foundation. This extraordinary act of generosity represents the single largest contribution ever made to the Turner Foundation and will accelerate the expansion of its mentorship program while strengthening the organization’s mission of community advocacy.
The Jim and Billie Ellis Foundation has been a steadfast supporter of the Turner Foundation for the past three years, standing alongside the organization as one of its very first corporate donors. During this time, the Ellis Foundation has not only watched the Turner Foundation’s growth closely but has also exponentially increased its giving by a 5X increment each and every year. This year, the Foundation took its support well above that remarkable 5X benchmark with a historic six-figure contribution.

The Turner Foundation’s Youth Community Advocacy Mentorship (YCAM) program, the primary beneficiary of this donation, equips high school students from underserved neighborhoods with leadership development, civic engagement opportunities, college and career coaching, and financial scholarships. Thanks to the Jim and Billie Ellis Foundation’s unprecedented investment, the Turner Foundation will begin hiring staff to scale both the organization and its mentorship program, ensuring it can meet growing demand and sustain its expansion for years to come.
